About the Role As a Tax Director, you’ll have the opportunity to gain experience, exposure, and rewards that fulfill your purpose and offer flexibility to balance your work and personal life. In this role, you’ll be a key player within our Tax team, working alongside subject matter experts with deep knowledge in the accounting industry. You’ll be instrumental in building strong relationships with our clients and collaborating with senior leaders to deliver quality solutions. You’ll recommend changes and enhancements to existing policies and controls, to make sure they are current, adequate, functional, and utilized in accordance with standards established by the Firm. What You’ll Do Oversee and coordinate tax planning and projections for business clients and their owners. Review all types of tax returns for closely held businesses and their owners. Manage and complete tax research projects. Gather and prepare information for federal and state tax auditors. Proactively communicate relevant emerging tax issues and industry information to clients. Provide proactive advisory and consulting services. Lead, supervise, train and give performance feedback to staff. Identify opportunities and recommend methods to improve service and work processes. Service consulting engagements with large private and public companies on an as needed project basis. Create new business opportunities by expanding existing client relationships, developing personal networks, and participating in industry and trade associations. About You Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required Licensed CPA At least 7 years of recent public accounting experience with an emphasis in tax 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience Industry experience in real estate, construction, or manufacturing is considered a plus Experience with planning, compliance, research and defense Strong background and experience with Tax methodologies and techniques Ability to build relationships while asking tough questions Strong time management and organizational skills Excellent problem-solving and client-relationship skills Why Join Us We’re growing rapidly and constantly evolving, allowing our team members to share their unique perspectives, solve new challenges, and own their careers.
