This position, reporting to the Regional Sales Director, requires a blend of business acumen and scientific expertise in the field of instrumentation for biomolecular analytics.The sales territory is: MA (outside of Cambridge), CT, VT, NH, ME, NY. The ideal candidate will live in Massachusetts.ResponsibilitiesHelp formulate and execute a comprehensive New Business Acquisition strategy for the territory, identifying new opportunities and optimizing our reachSelling and promoting Refeyn's products and solutions across customer groups in Academia and IndustryMeet or exceed the assigned sales targetsCreate and drive new business opportunities through the sales funnel with timely lead response and nurturingAccurate opportunity forecasting within the Refeyn CRMIdentify new prospects and establish business relationships with new potential customersManage and build strong customer relationships for long term mutual benefitsBuild up strong networks within relevant academic and industrial circlesAssess and analyse customer needs, respond to customer enquiries, and suggest products and services as appropriateUnderstand customer applications, workflows, and pain points/bottlenecks and determine if/where our technology fitsIdentify key decision makers and understand their purchasing processActively drive newly launched innovative products and services into the marketplace and proactively follow up on the successful implementation of the technologyRoutine follow-up with existing customer base to touch base on activities and review needs (e.g. upgrades, consumable needs etc.)Lead price and contract negotiations with prospective customersWork closely with other departments (Marketing, Product Management, Applications, Service) in order to provide customers with full technical information and supportUtilise all available sales tools to maximise sales efficiency (Salesforce, LinkedIn etc.)Support the Sales leaders with the development and implementation of territory plansDrive sales and promotional activities such as conferences and customer workshops, and generate leads and prospects for Refeyn's productsPrepare quarterly forecasts and maintain accurate opportunity information in our CRM (Salesforce)From time to time, this individual may be expected to perform basic customer demonstrationsJob Related Skills and ExperienceDegree in Molecular Biology Science, or similar relevant field, additional business degree a plusExperience working in a selling role and with analytical Capex equipment, preferably in the life sciences sector, in the relevant territoryKnowledge of selling strategies and methods e.g. consultative sales and sales profiling frameworks etc.Hands-on experience with a variety of bioanalytical techniquesExperience communicating with different audiences and cross-functional teams (e.g. customers, Sales Operations, R&D, Product Management, Applications, Service & Support)Strong organizational and communication, and time management skills requiredStrong understanding of biopharmaceuticals and biotech startupsEstablished network in the regional life sciences sector is desirableFluent in English and local regional languageExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsSelf-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and a track record of achieving KPI's and exceeding targetsWhy work for Refeyn?Compensation And Core BenefitsWe use Radford data to ensure we offer competitive salaries.
