About the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Temporary Tax Senior Manager to oversee our direct tax and tax provision functions. This role requires managing domestic and international income tax compliance and ASC 740 tax accounting, with a focus on technology and marketplace tax complexities. The position is remote, up to 40 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $50-$75. What you will do: Lead quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provision processes, including preparation, review, and disclosure of tax footnotes Manage deferred taxes, valuation allowances, and uncertain tax positions across U.S. and international entities Ensure SOX-compliant internal controls over tax reporting and coordinate with external auditors Partner with global finance teams and local advisors to ensure proper and timely filing of various tax returns Maintain documentation for transfer pricing and foreign tax credits Monitor global tax reform developments and assess impacts Identify and implement strategic tax planning opportunities to reduce the global effective tax rate Support M&A due diligence, structuring, and integration from a tax perspective Evaluate the tax implications of digital marketplace operations and cross-border sales Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Product teams to align tax strategies with business goals Work with the indirect tax team on nexus studies and audit responses Support transfer pricing policies for digital services, IP, and logistics Who you are: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related; Master’s in Tax or JD/LLM preferred CPA preferred 8+ years of experience in U.S. federal, state, and international income tax, including public accounting and corporate roles Strong technical expertise in ASC 740 and international tax compliance Experience managing tax provisions for multinational companies Experience in fast-paced environments, preferably eCommerce, SaaS, or digital retail Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle) and tax compliance tools (e.g., OneSource, CorpTax) Exposure to OECD Pillar Two or BEPS 2.0 is a plus We Value Diversity We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and experiences, believing that diverse teams foster innovative solutions to complex problems.
