Position Overview The Vice President position at Palm Tree is a senior management role that blends strategic execution with client engagement and team development. Ideal candidates will bring 7+ years of relevant experience, including a strong background in managing consulting engagements. This role plays a pivotal part in delivering high-impact financial and operational insights to clients. Vice Presidents lead client projects, mentor junior staff, and drive firm growth through business development and thought leadership initiatives.
Responsibilities Client Engagement Lead and manage client engagements, ensuring the delivery of actionable solutions across financial, operational, and transactional challenges. Oversee the design and execution of workstreams, including complex quantitative analyses and financial modeling (e.g., QoE, 13wkcf, AOPs, three-statement models, working capital assessments, financial reporting packages, dashboards, etc.). Provide final quality control for client deliverables, updates, and board-level presentations. Guide clients through critical decision-making processes, integration planning, and value creation initiatives. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering trust and long-term relationships. Leadership and Team Development Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture. Ensure the quality and timeliness of work produced by the team, maintaining Palm Tree’s high standards of excellence. Support internal training initiatives and share best practices across the firm. Strategic Contributions Contribute to business development efforts, including client relationship management and proposal development. Identify opportunities for growth within existing client accounts and new markets. Participate in firm-building initiatives, such as talent acquisition, thought leadership, and process improvement.
Qualifications Education/Credentials: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related discipline; a CPA or CFA qualification is considered an advantage. Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience in financial consulting, investment banking, private equity, or corporate/portco finance. Proven track record of managing client engagements and leading teams in a client services environment.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and tools such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with BI tools or data visualization platforms is a plus.
Soft Skills: Initiative-taking, motivated, and self-starter attitude. Analytical and critical thinking abilities with meticulous attention to detail. Thrives under pressure in fast-paced settings. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits Base salary of $150k-$200k, with performance/metric-driven bonuses.
