What You Will Be Doing Spearhead the end-to-end construction strategy for 25-30 new school campuses across multiple markets simultaneously Build and manage relationships with developers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery Develop standardized construction playbooks that balance speed, compliance, and educational functionality Implement cutting-edge construction technology and project management systems that enable rapid, parallel execution Drive critical decisions on facility specifications, timelines, and resource allocation with full autonomy What You Won’t Be Doing Requesting permission for every decision—you own the construction vertical completely Managing single projects in isolation—you\'re building a scalable system for national deployment Waiting for perfect information—you\'ll make high-stakes calls with the data available Focusing on theoretical optimizations—execution speed trumps perfection Navigating bureaucracy—our lean structure puts you directly at the decision table Vice President Of Construction Key Responsibilities Own and deliver the complete physical infrastructure required for 2 Hour Learning\'s national expansion—creating a replicable, efficient system that enables 25-30 new campuses to launch on schedule and on budget. Basic Requirements You bring proven expertise in rapid-scale construction management and a bias toward decisive action. Essential Qualifications Minimum 3 years at a top-tier strategy consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) with focus on operations or infrastructure Demonstrated success managing multi-site construction or facility development projects with aggressive timelines Exceptional skill navigating building codes, permits, and regulatory requirements across diverse jurisdictions Proven ability to create standardized systems that enable parallel execution of complex physical projects Strong vendor management capabilities with track record of negotiating favorable terms at scale U.S. work authorization and willingness to travel ~1 week/month to construction sites Proficiency with construction management software and willingness to leverage AI tools for optimization About 2 Hour Learning Education is broken, but 2 Hour Learning is proving it doesn’t have to be. Working with Us This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
