Stealth Mode Startup - VP - Sales (Startup Team Role – with Equity) Location: Boston preferred | Remote welcome | East coast ideal Compensation: Founding equity (seed stage stake for right person) Time commitment: Full-time Start date: ASAP About the company We are a tech-forward insurance MGA on a mission to modernize how travel is delivered through employee benefits. We’re building an Insurance Plan, a fully digital, customizable benefit offering that’s distributed through employee benefit brokers and benefit admin platforms to employers and employees. We’re at the earliest stage — backed by an A Rated carrier partner, building out our platform, and assembling a world-class founding team. The opportunity ahead is significant: employers are rethinking how they support the safety, wellbeing, and financial resilience of their teams, and we’re giving brokers a new product to meet that need. The Role: VP - Sales We’re looking for a VP - Sales to lead and scale our go-to-market efforts. You’ll be the initial faces of our company to the broker community and the benefit admin platform channel — building relationships, signing partnerships, and shaping how we go to market. You’ll be joining the early founding team, working closely with the CEO and product/tech team. This is not a corporate BD role — we need a hands-on, entrepreneurial sales leader who’s excited to roll up their sleeves, test, iterate, drive and own revenue, and build something new with us. What You’ll Do Own both benefit admin platform and broker relationships: Leverage your network in the employee benefits space to build distribution partnerships and early traction. Drive and own revenue targets. Lead GTM strategy: Help define pricing, messaging, positioning, and broker-facing materials for our launch. Benefit Admin Platform and Broker onboarding: Design and lead our early benefit admin platform and broker enablement and training efforts. Channel feedback loop: Act as the voice of the broker and employer — shaping product development based on feedback and market dynamics. Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with our CEO, product, and carrier partners to align distribution strategy with our roadmap. Who You Are Revenue focused leader, relentlessly driving the top line. A connector with strong, trusted relationships across employee benefit brokers, TPAs, and voluntary benefits consultants. A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and loves the energy of an early-stage startup. You’ve sold to or worked with brokers in voluntary benefits, ancillary health, or supplemental lines — and understand the broker-employer dynamic. Ideally you have experience selling voluntary benefits such as pet insurance, financial wellness, ID theft, or legal plans through the employee benefit channel. You know how to earn broker mindshare and guide them through introducing a new employee benefit product to clients. You’re motivated by ownership, autonomy, and upside — not a paycheck (yet). Bonus if you have experience with new product launches, MGA models, or insurtech partnerships. Why Join Now?
