Vice President, Primary Casualty – National Accounts The National Casualty Practice is a premier team of casualty brokerage professionals with extensive experience in representing buyers of primary and umbrella/excess liability. We are looking to add a Vice President, Broker II to our Chicago Primary Casualty team!
This is a hybrid role with three days a week in the Chicago office.

What the day will look like Utilizing risk expertise and knowledge of industry and insurance marketplace, a Broker II reviews clients’ exposures and loss experience and develops solutions for clients’ needs.
Perform the services of an Insurance Broker for Worker’s Compensation, Commercial Auto, and General Liability policies.
Thorough analysis of current risk transfer programs to include coverage and cost analysis and a graphical representation of the program.
Insurance program structure planning and design of alternatives.
Prepare all marketplace insurance submissions, coordinate and conduct market meetings and negotiations as appropriate in coordination with Account Executives. May include some travel.
Finalize all quotes and complete a thorough comparison of program options as part of the client proposal presentation. Comparison to include changes in exposures, losses, collateral, coverage terms and conditions and cost of risk.
Executing placements within required timeframes and servicing those placements including policy reviews, etc.
Analyze and review insurance programs for clients to determine optimum program including structure, pricing, terms and conditions for both new and renewal business.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with the carriers and underwriters.
Mentor and help develop associate brokers on the team.
Work as a team member and collaborate with other colleagues within the Aon team.
Knowledge of Benchmarking and Loss Analysis.

Skills and experience that will lead to success 5 to 7+ years of experience working in primary placements and/or in casualty.
Proven knowledge of Casualty (Workers Compensation, Commercial Auto, General Liability, Umbrella/Excess).
Strong understanding of national casualty risks and carrier appetites.
Broad relationships with the carriers that write national casualty P&C business.
Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, exceptional organizational skills, ability to make and communicate difficult decisions.
Strong experience using Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and presentation skills.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience.
Property and Casualty Brokers License is required (can be attained on the job)
Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $120,000 to $164,000 annually.
