This team is responsible for driving forward innovative digital fixed income trading capabilities that enable an exceptional customer experience while allowing Fidelity to scale and grow its businesses.
The Role
In this role, you will serve as a squad lead and product owner responsible for defining, prioritizing, and implementing fixed income trading product initiatives that will drive Fidelity's business objectives forward. The group is looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and who has experience with fixed income trading and product development of technically complex applications and workflows. You will help create, modernize, and support fixed income trading capabilities in an evolving market landscape. You will drive continuous improvement and timely delivery of solutions to ensure that our fixed income product offerings continue to serve our clients.
The Expertise And Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other relevant quantitative field 5-10 years of successful professional experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on one or more of the following: fixed income trading, product development (leveraging Agile processes), infrastructure technology, systems analysis, data analytics Strong analytical, problem-solving, and sensemaking skills that can be used in conjunction with a forward-thinking mindset to create sustainable, valuable, and innovative fixed income trading solutions Standout colleague and communicator with the ability to collaborate and foster positive relationships across Fidelity with a diverse set of business partners such as Technology, Sales & Trading, Legal/Risk/Compliance Detail oriented mindset, with a sense of ownership when troubleshooting problems, making decisions, and addressing anything that poses a risk to our customers or our business Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate and present complex topics to wide audiences Self-starter who embraces pace over perfection and can connect the dots across projects and products Series 7 and Series 63 (or must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
