Position Overview: We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Vice President of Finance to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring experience from a top or middle-market accounting or advisory firm, with a strong track record of conducting Quality of Earnings analyses and financial diligence in M&A transactions. In this role, you will take ownership of the financial model for each engagement — from initial valuation through closing — and play a critical role in supporting our deal team with insights, risk assessments, and clear financial storytelling. This is a high-impact position that demands intellectual rigor, strong financial judgment, and a deep interest in dealmaking within the early childhood education sector. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage sophisticated financial models and QoE-style analysis to support the firm in sell-side M&A transactions. Collaborate directly with clients to normalize historical financials and build forward-looking projections, including identifying and substantiating addbacks for non-recurring or discretionary expenses. Extract and synthesize key insights, trends, risks, and opportunities from financial statements to inform deal positioning and strategy. Serve as a core member of the deal team, supporting all phases of the transaction process — from valuation through buyer diligence — with a focus on financial analysis execution. Act as the lead financial representative in client meetings, buyer discussions, and due diligence sessions. Collaborate with external accountants, internal team members, and clients to reconcile and synthesize financial information. Contribute to the evolution of valuation frameworks, market comps, and best practices across transactions. Qualifications: 6–10 years of experience, ideally in transaction services (Quality of Earnings), accounting, or investment banking. CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred Deep experience analyzing small business financials (QuickBooks, accrual/cash issues, owner adjustments) Experience working in or advising on lower middle market deals ($2M–$50M EV) Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Compensation: Base Salary – $125,000 - $150,000 Competitive performance based variable compensation program Benefits – Reimbursement for health and dental package.
