Backed by a respected private equity sponsor , this consumer brand is expanding rapidly across multiple channels and entering a new phase of operational scale. This omni-channel brand is currently being sold in multiple big-box retailers . The organization is seeking a proven accounting leader to elevate the finance infrastructure and partner directly with the CFO on strategy, reporting, and team development. This role is ideal for an experienced Controller or a strong #2 ready to take the next step. The position offers meaningful equity, executive-level visibility, and the opportunity to build a best-in-class accounting function within a growing and mission-driven organization. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, monthly close, financial reporting, and compliance Prepare and review internal and external financial statements in accordance with US GAAP Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures Lead the annual audit process and manage relationships with external auditors Manage, mentor, and grow the accounting team Drive improvements in systems and processes, including automation initiatives Support the CFO with board reporting, investor communications, and ad hoc strategic projects Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and senior leadership Qualifications: 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior leadership roles CPA required; public accounting foundation (Big 4 or national firm) strongly preferred Consumer products or CPG experience required; health and wellness exposure is a plus Experience working in a private equity-backed or high-growth environment Strong technical accounting skills and familiarity with multi-entity structures and inventory accounting Experience with NetSuite or other large ERP required Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment This is a high-impact role for a finance leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is eager to help build something from the ground up.
