Job Description The Director of Finance plays a crucial role in managing and growing the organization through Adtalem's Growth with Purpose (GwP) transformation. Supporting the Chief Transformation Officer and Business Unit CFOs, this role provides vision, leadership, and management of financial operations, guiding teams to achieve strategic objectives. Serve as a key leader with a comprehensive understanding of global enterprise-wide business and financial processes. Enhance understanding of operational drivers of performance and provide a challenging perspective in operational review meetings. Build relationships, influence, and lead an indirect team of stakeholders across Adtalem and its institutions. Create timely, detailed, and accurate analyses of quarterly results versus budgets, providing insights into trends and root causes. Conduct financial analysis and modeling to identify resource and investment options, supporting campus, online, and home office leaders. Utilize analysis and benchmarking to prioritize improvements and adopt best practices. Lead the development of analyses and special projects to support strategic and executive decisions as assigned by the CTO and CFO. Analyze past trends and future demand, propose strategic directions, and engage senior leadership as needed. Partner with institutions and functions to set standards and develop business cases for new investments to reach future goals. Evaluate and advise on the impact of short-term and long-range initiatives and plans. Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to address business challenges. Work with strategy teams to prioritize initiatives and assess investment opportunities for strategic and financial value. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field required; MBA preferred. At least 7 years of financial planning and analysis experience; consulting, higher education, or healthcare experience preferred. Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with excellent communication abilities. Deep understanding of operational and financial processes and their interrelation. Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and secondary research; ability to synthesize and articulate information clearly. Leadership skills to influence peers and senior stakeholders. Additional Information In support of pay transparency laws, the expected salary range is $100,171.61 to $175,761.85, with actual pay based on experience, location, certifications, and other factors.
