Job Description What You’ll Do: The VP, Director of Investment oversees investment, activation, and portfolio management across all media channels. They provide consistent leadership by bringing new ideas, innovation, and opportunities to the client regularly. The VP, Director develops go-to-market investment strategies, recommendations, and POVs while providing effective leadership in negotiations and creating strong vendor relationships. Responsibilities: Own client relationship and education relating to media investment across all channels. Provide counsel on marketplace trends and investment expertise for clients and client teams. Be a thought leader in alternative buying models and integrated projects. Maintain, develop, and grow relationships with appropriate client-level contacts. Inject ideas, innovation, and leading industry developments into every assignment, including day-to-day client communications. Consistently drive the use of analytics to inform/validate investment strategies, tactical planning, and ongoing optimizations across all media. Collaborate with all partner agencies on your LOB, but also internally across all LOBs. Strategically develop campaigns across the funnel to align with clients' strategic goals and KPIs. Manage negotiation and implementation of added value inventory, research partnerships, and custom sponsorship elements when applicable. Strong and proven ability to troubleshoot and quickly problem-solve campaign management issues as they arise, as well as effectively partner with strategy directors to communicate issues with clients. Consistently drive the use of analytics to inform/validate investment strategies, tactical planning, and ongoing optimizations across all media. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably with a concentration in marketing, advertising, communications, business, sociology, or consumer insights. 10+ years of digital media buying experience, with progressive levels of responsibility, across all platforms: display, search, mobile, programmatic, and paid social. 7+ years of progressive leadership/team management experience. Previous team management experience. Excellent negotiation skills and understanding of how to add incremental value without compromising communication needs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to package, merchandise, and sell in concepts and new opportunities. Strategic thinking, ability to see the bigger picture. Problem-solver with strong project management experience. Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a collaborative team setting. Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
