We’re growing fast and are looking for a dynamic, ambitious, and talented Portfolio Consulting Director to join our Energy Business Advisory team within our Power Technologies International (PTI) consulting group. This is a remote position based in the contiguous U.S. Responsibilities Lead a team of consulting engineers, economists, and project managers in the implementation and delivery of energy business advisory services, integrated resource planning, energy market analytics, and economics. Account for PTI’s energy business advisory portfolio of services, business/customer relationship development, near-term and long-term business plans, and strategic developments for emerging consulting services. Ensure strong customer focus, technical excellence, execution leadership, and positive people skills. Lead a team of subject matter experts and trusted advisors to formulate solutions for critical challenges such as DER integration, decarbonization strategies, generation portfolio optimization, integrated resource planning, and congestion/curtailment management. Drive business development, promote consulting services, and build relationships with existing and new clients. Maintain a three-year business plan and drive new portfolio development for emerging consulting services. Manage profit and loss of the regional consulting business and engage key clients to achieve business targets. Drive an efficient consulting practice and monitor market rates to optimize billability. Lead talent acquisition, training, mentoring, and development of personnel to deliver consulting services. Leverage relationships with other Siemens business units to expand synergies and go-to-market strategies. Qualifications Basic qualifications: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related domain with technical and business experience in the energy sector. Minimum of 10 years of successful energy-related consulting experience and demonstrated growth in Energy Advisory consulting and/or other consulting leadership. Working relationships and contacts within the industry: ISOs/RTOs, TSPs, IOUs and/or other electrical utilities in the US. Proven track record of leadership of high-performance teams. Familiarity with North American bulk transmission systems (Eastern Interconnection, Western Interconnection, ERCOT). Solid understanding of FERC regulatory framework and relevant NERC standards impacting ISOs/RTOs and IOUs. Ability to travel 25% domestically and internationally. Preferred qualifications: Working knowledge of production cost modeling tools and resource adequacy tools. Pay range: $142,310 - $243,960 annually with a target incentive of 20% of base salary. The actual wage may vary based on budget and candidate experience and geographic location.
