Overview Our Am Law 100 client seeks an Illinois bar admitted Counsel to join its Real Estate practice in the Chicago office. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of real estate experience at a nationally recognized law firm. The attorney must have substantial experience in equity side real estate deals, including assisting clients in buying and selling properties as well as drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, and net and ground leasing agreements. Experience with join ventures is a plus. Attorneys are expected to be in the office two days a week. The estimated salary range for this role is $200,000 - $500,000. Responsibilities Work on equity-side real estate transactions, including advising on structure, negotiation, and execution. Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, net leases, and ground leases. Assist clients with buying and selling properties and related deal processes. Provide guidance on joint ventures; JV experience is a plus. Maintain in-office presence in Chicago two days per week. Qualifications Illinois bar admitted. Minimum 8 years of real estate experience at a nationally recognized law firm. Substantial experience with equity-side real estate transactions and leasing. Strong drafting and negotiating skills for purchase and sale agreements, net leases, and ground leases. Experience with joint ventures is a plus.
