The Barcode Group is seeking a Senior Director of Sales for our Costco business to join our exceptional team of individuals who are passionate about delivering uncompromising customer service and driving business growth for our vendors and retail partners. In this role you will lead the functional management and execution of business development and sales related activities for new and existing clients working with the Costco Corporate merchandising team. Overview The role focuses on developing and executing business development strategies to grow the Costco channel, with emphasis on Costco Corporate sales, and building relationships with Costco merchandising teams to identify growth opportunities and implement plans across vendor placement, new product development, and category extensions. Responsibilities Develop and execute business development strategies to build the existing Costco channel, focusing on Costco Corporate sales, aligned with organizational goals and market trends. Build key relationships with Costco’s merchandising teams to identify growth opportunities and implement sales plans for growth initiatives including vendor placement, new product development and category extensions. Manage key client business at Costco to support existing business and growth. Organize client meetings to discuss strategies for their brands; build compelling sales stories and presentations. Deliver budget plans and new distribution goals for clients and customers. Maintain understanding of objectives and collaborate with leadership to develop operational plans to manage execution and measure results. Coordinate cross-functional communication between analytics, supply chain, and other teams to understand all aspects of client businesses. Monitor and report on sales performance analytics. Qualifications 10+ years of related sales experience in a fast-paced consumer business, including a minimum of 2 years with Costco Corporate merchandising. Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate trends, consumer research, and observations into actionable opportunities. Proven ability to sell and close deals with potential clients. Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a broad network across multiple categories, companies, and brands. Demonstrated passion for product, trend, and innovation with strong market knowledge of the retail sector and channels. Ability to utilize data and insights to build compelling sales stories; strong presentation and communication skills to influence audiences. Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Willingness to travel.
