Overview Our client is a high-growth, publicly traded technology company with a global footprint and a dynamic SaaS-driven business model. They are seeking a strategic and technically proficient Global Tax Leader to oversee all aspects of the company’s tax function. This is a high-impact role that requires deep expertise, executive presence, and the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels. Position Overview The Senior Director of Global Tax will lead the development and execution of the company’s global tax strategy, ensuring compliance across jurisdictions while optimizing the company’s capital structure, liquidity, and financial risk profile. This role will serve as a key advisor on tax implications of corporate initiatives, M&A activity, and treasury operations, while also building and mentoring a high-performing tax team. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Serve as the company’s senior-most tax authority, advising executive leadership on global tax strategy, risk, and planning. Present tax strategy, risk assessments, and compliance updates to the Board of Directors and Audit Committee. Lead the design and execution of tax-efficient structures to support global growth, capital deployment, and long-term financial planning. Global Tax Operations: Oversee all aspects of global tax compliance, reporting, planning, and audit defense. Direct the preparation and review of global tax payments, corporate income tax returns, and related filings. Lead the preparation of interim and annual tax provisions under ASC 740, including financial statement disclosures and internal control compliance. Manage relationships with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities. Technical Expertise & Risk Management: Monitor and interpret evolving domestic and international tax laws, proactively assessing impact and advising leadership. Lead audits and defend tax positions before federal, state, and international tax authorities. Provide strategic guidance on Mergers & Acquisitions, Treasury & Capital Structure Optimization. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, HR, and business unit leaders to ensure tax alignment with corporate initiatives. Act as a strategic advisor on tax and treasury implications of new products, geographic expansion, and operational changes. Support ERP and treasury system implementations with tax-related requirements and controls. Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing global tax team. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the tax function. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or Master’s in Taxation strongly preferred 15+ years of progressive tax experience, including leadership roles in public companies and/or Big 4 firms Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, federal and state tax regulations, and international tax laws Proven ability to lead complex tax operations and communicate effectively with executive and board-level stakeholders Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills Experience with ERP and treasury management systems Exposure to M&A, transfer pricing, and tax controversy Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with competing priorities Hybrid work model with 60% in-office requirement Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed Compensation & Location Base Salary range is 200-240K + Bonus + Significant Equity Must be a local Applicant Only Job Details Seniority level: Executive Employment type: Full-time Job function: Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries: Staffing and Recruiting Note: Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Brennan Staffing Group Inc. by 2x.
