Overview City Rise Safety - Senior Traffic Engineer. Open to all applicants based in California. We service all of California from multiple locations and provide high quality traffic control safety services to construction job sites, including flagging traffic, setting up and monitoring lane closures, and detouring traffic to reduce congestion and prevent accidents. Position Summary We seek a highly motivated, experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to join our engineering team. This position requires possession of a valid license as a Professional Civil Engineer or Professional Traffic Engineer issued by the State of California. The candidate must be able to review and approve Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) for safety and regulatory compliance with little to no supervision. Position Duties Review and approve Traffic Control Plans for safety and regulatory compliance. Lead challenging design projects and provide direction to the engineering team. Serve as the subject matter expert for work zone traffic control projects. Assist with coaching and training to the engineering team. Coordinate with Project Managers and/or Engineering Manager regarding work distribution. Prepare plan revisions based on customer and/or public agency feedback. Provide complex temporary traffic control layouts including multi-phase and multi-jurisdictional plans. Assist with complex base plans and/or complex temporary traffic control layouts. Provide design assistance for plans prepared by other team members. Provide feedback on plan reviews for management documentation. Meet or exceed project deadlines. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications WHAT YOU NEED TO BE AMAZING AT CITY RISE: 2+ years experience preparing TCPs in California. Possession of a valid license as a Professional Civil Engineer or Professional Traffic Engineer issued by the State of California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Desired Qualifications B.S. Civil Engineering from an accredited university. 5+ years experience preparing TCPs in California. Physical Requirements Sitting for extended periods of time.
