Welty Energy is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to lead the technical review process for transmission line projects, ensuring compliance with client standards and expectations. This position is primarily remote; candidates should reside in Pittsburgh, PA, or the New England area due to client requirements. Role And Responsibilities Technical review of high voltage transmission line designs (34kV – 500kV). Prepare construction plan documents, assist with proposals, perform site visits, mentor junior staff, and consult on internal projects. Provide technical assistance to the project management team. Lead the growth of the Transmission Line Engineering team. Interface with client engineering groups and project management for updates. Perform QA/QC reviews of all work products. Analyze/model wood, steel, and lattice structures. Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree in civil or electrical engineering preferred; degrees in mechanical, environmental, architectural, structural, or similar fields accepted. Minimum 10 years of experience in high voltage transmission line design engineering (34kV – 500kV). PE license is advantageous. Willingness to travel 15-20% as needed.
