Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory experience, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
5 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.
Experience leading and managing a team.
Preferred qualifications:
MBA, graduate degree, or related experience in a technical, quantitative, or business field.
10 years of leadership experience across general management, sales operations, commercial roles, consulting, or corporate strategy.
5 years of experience working with and influencing senior-level executives.
Business and sales experience including accountability for results.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex strategic and operational initiatives involving multiple teams, ensuring alignment, communication, and successful execution.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a team of Go-To-Market strategy professionals.
About the Job
This team is responsible for setting Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, shaping priorities/resources to accelerate business growth, and commercializing the next generation of Ads products. It plays an important role in building GTM infrastructure from tooling to enhancing business skills and ensuring flawless execution and operations against desired outcomes and priorities. GTM teams operate across major Ads business areas and global teams, with a focus on analytical, strategic work and practical execution.
Role overview
As the Head of Activation Design, you will lead new design initiatives within the Global Commercial Enablement GTM team. You will scope new ways to bring product to market through design of sales incentives, systems, and partnerships. You will translate complex business priorities and product strategy into actionable operational frameworks, empowering cross-functional teams for execution. You will work closely with GTM and Sales executives to translate concepts into action and drive decisions among GBO leadership.
The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's Ads business runs smoothly by setting go-to-market strategy and ensuring flawless execution and operations. We have teams embedded in major Ads business areas and global teams that work across business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic with a pragmatic approach to getting things done.
Compensation
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay within the range is determined by work location and factors including job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Responsibilities
Lead the team responsible for developing GBO's "activation engine" — a universal product taxonomy, prioritization of ads products and sales motions, and activation levers (e.g., sales collateral, training, tools).
Drive a transformation agenda and roadmap to improve activation levers via bundling, automation, and other initiatives.
Own decision-making and execution for large, cross-functional projects related to sales activation strategy and design.
Influence senior leadership across Go-To-Market, global product solutions, sales and product management on sales activation strategy by delivering executive-ready insights and facilitation.
Orchestrate cross-functional activation plans and build scalable processes to support alignment, execution, and continuous improvement.
