Base is planning to bring a million developers and a billion users onchain. We believe the onchain platform is the most important builder platform since the internet. The platform should be open source, free to use, and globally available. We aim to scale in a secure, decentralized, easy-to-use way with all hands on deck.

Base is built on Optimism’s open-source OP Stack. We’re joining as the second Core Dev team working on the OP Stack to ensure it’s a public good available to everyone, and contributing a portion of sequencer revenue to funding public goods.

What you’ll be doing

• Manage Base’s cross-platform communities in western markets

• Cultivate an emerging community of creators on The Base App

• Create, curate and produce community content

• Scale community support and moderation infrastructure

• Coordinate and run community events and meetups

• Collect and synthesize community feedback to influence product development

• Serve as a public figurehead for Base

What we look for

• 8+ years of relevant experience in crypto, community management, or creator platforms

• Experience growing a startup, project, or community

• Experience scaling and operationalizing teams, systems and processes

• Deep connectivity in / understanding of the crypto ecosystem

• Strong public profile on social media

• Great communicator, comfortable talking in public and hosting live events

• Located in North America

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus, target equity, and benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).

Pay Range: $193,970—$228,200 USD
